Oh! Canada!

From our campground at Johnston Canyon we walk the very popular trail to the unimaginatively named, but gorgeous, Upper and Lower Falls.  This is our first introduction to the stunning peacock blue that characterizes the waters in the Canadian Rockies.
Clever and impossible-seeming engineering provides a system of bridges and walkways cantilevered from the canyon walls.
Spectacular!
Rain forest lushness and tiny vignettes captivate us.
The crowds drop off as we hike the further distance to the Ink Pots.  These cold cauldrons bubble with subterranean water surfacing from earthly fissures.
The minerals create fluorescent greens and blues and mysterious black circles form on the silty bottoms.
Silvery peaks punctuate frosty skies.
John Denver tunes spring to mind ... "Rocky Mountain High..."  ...in Can-a-da!
